OUR PROCESS

ONE

Coffee Selection & Roasting

We begin with well farmed, specialty coffee roasted to perfection by your favourite roaster.

TWO

Grinding

We focus in on our particle size. Even particle size of the coffee gives us a more even extraction, meaning a better balanced cup.

THREE

Recipe Testing

We trial a number of recipes to find the "sweet spot" for extraction, these recipes are cupped by Zane, Ralph & Matt many times before confirming the Recipe.

FOUR

Water

The number one thing that comes up when getting ready to brew any type of coffee is water. Water makes up the majority of brewed cup of coffee ranging between 98-99% water, ours is carbon filtered and we highly recommend yours is too.

FIVE

NGC Extraction

We brew and extract the coffee using our hot-water vacuum extraction system. We've spent a lot of time perfecting this process and unlocking its true potential to capture all the sweet aromas and oils that a single coffee bean contains. Our in-line system takes this hot liquid extract through to a holding chamber for a rapid-cool and concentration before removing any oxygen and storing for freeze-drying or RTD delivery.

SIX

Preservation

1. Blending & Canning: Our extract is blended to recipe for a number of RTD products. Rip & Sip.

2. Freeze Drying & Packing: Our high solid product is then freeze dried and turned into to space-dust, then packed into sachets, jars or in bulk. Rip & Drip.

SEVEN

Packaging & Distribution

The number one thing that comes up when getting ready to brew any type of coffee is water. Water makes up the majority of brewed cup of coffee ranging between 98-99% water, ours is carbon filtered and we highly recommend yours is too.

SPECIAL NOTES

Waste

All of our expressed coffee we currently turn into a earthy mulch and are working on some bi-product R&D projects to see where we can take it. We'd love to be able to offer compostable packaging from used coffee grounds....

Climate Positive

Coffee is a carbon heavy product, being shipping from origin to roasters all over the world before arriving in Aotearoa, New Zealand for extraction. We're conscious of this impact so as a start we offset all of our imported roasted coffee by 120% using
